Diploma in Railway Engineering
- Conduct by The Institute of Permanent Way Engineers (India).
- One year Correspondence Course comprises of two semesters of 6 months each.

Eligibility
- High School/SSC or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 3 years experience in Railway.
- Minimum 3 years Diploma in any Engineering discipline duly recognized by Central/State or UT Government.
- A Science /Engineering graduate (B.Sc./B.E.) or Graduate (B.A./B.COm etc.) in any discipline from a recognized University having Mathematics or Science as one of the subjects in Intermediate or plus 2 of SSC Examination.

How to Apply
- Application form can be downloaded from the website mentioned above and duly filled application along with Bank draft of Rs.2510/- for Railway personnel and Rs.3100/- for non-Railway Persons in favour of IPWE (India) payable at New Delhi may be sent to IPWE office at Delhi on the address mentioned above.
- After receiving the above application, study material and prospectus will be sent to the candidates' address mentioned in the above application
- Candidates can deposit the application form with cash in the IPWE office at New Delhi at the above-mentioned address
Benefits
For Railway Personnel: institution functions under the auspices of Ministry of Railways and passing of Diploma Course of Railway Engineering will be an additional qualification.
Accreditation of IPWE's Diploma Course Certificate by the Institution of Engineering (India), Kolkata - Diploma in Railway Engineering has been accredited by the Institution of Engineers (India), Kolkata, and the candidates possessing the above qualification are eligible to become Senior Technician Members of their Institution. Thus Diploma holders of IPWE can pursue their studies further in Engineering and technology bypassing the courses offered by the Institution of Engineers (India), Kolkata
